Introduction to Al-Hussein bin Talal University
Al-Hussein Bin Talal University (AHU) was established in 1999 during the reign of H.M. King Abdullah II, making it the first higher educational institution founded at that time. This public coeducational university is located in the southern region of Jordan, 210 KM away from Amman and 27 KM from Petra.
Academic Programs and Facilities
AHU offers a comprehensive range of programs through its nine colleges, including Natural and Environmental Sciences, Nursing, IT, Engineering, Business, Law, Education, and Humanities. Students have access to 48 bachelor’s programs, 16 master’s programs, 1 Diploma, and 1 Ph.D. program. The campus also houses two Deanships for Student Affairs and Scientific Research, along with nine scientific centers dedicated to research and development projects.
