Brunel'scampus is designed to be your one-stop shop for student life. We have lots ofon-site cafés and restaurants catering to all tastes; a pharmacy and medicalcentre; a small supermarket; a state-of-the-art sports complex and an extensivelibrary offering dedicated study spaces - the perfect environment to focus.

Finding a perfect on-campus home is easy. Brunel guarantees accommodationfor all new students who meet their course conditions and apply for a room bythe end of August. Our modern and secure halls are all within a 10-minute walkfrom everything you need, so you won’t have to commute and can immerse yourselffully in campus life.

Brunel'scutting-edge labs offer industry-standard equipment, encompassing specialisedengineering tools and we even have a simulated hospital ward in our MedicalSchool. The Wilfred Brown building, purpose-built for STEM students, is builtwith sustainability in mind, exemplifying Brunel's commitment to innovation.

Students can unleash their creativity in ourdedicated arts facilities. They can hone their acting skills in the drama studios, jam in themusic room, or delve into filmmaking with professional-grade video editingsuites. Our visual effectsstudio boasts industry-standard technology, allowing students to master the artof digital compositing and animation.

Brunelhas everything a sports enthusiast needs: a Sports Centre with facilities forbasketball, volleyball, badminton, netball and indoor cricket; a gym offeringgroup fitness classes, personal training and a women’s only gym; an indoorathletics centre which is climate-controlled, allowing athletes to trainregardless of the weather. It features a running track, jumping pits, andthrowing areas, as well as weight rooms, fitness studios, and a physiotherapyclinic.

Student life

Brunel isa friendly, welcoming campus community with plenty of opportunities to meet newpeople and try new things. There are so many food outlets to choose from, alljust steps away from each other. You can start your day with an Englishbreakfast at the Junction. Later on, you could grab yourself a bite at thepop-up food stall, order a pizza, grab a Subway, taste our tortillas orexperience the flavours of the Middle East at Beseha. You can also catch upwith friends over coffee and a snack at the Coffee Room or the 1966 café. The campus supermarket is veryconvenient for stocking up on essentials. We may be only a short tube journey from the centre of one of the mostbustling cities in the world, but that doesn’t mean that we lack green space.As a Green Flag award winner, we’re proud of our leafy campus. There are plentyof quiet places to sit or to walk and a pretty river runs through the centre ofcampus. When you want to have some downtime, you can socialise with friends inour student bar, ‘Loco’s’ or dance the night away at our very own club ‘TheVenue’.

Ourcampus has a thriving arts and culture scene and we encourage students todevelop creative skills themselves. They can soak up the atmosphere as aspectator or get more hands-on and help organise events, as well as perform inthem. This cultural backdrop is a great opportunity for students to getinvolved and feel inspired.

The Student Centre is here to help Students through the student journey fromregistration to graduation while The Student Wellbeing team provides supportservices to help Brunel students overcome challenges so that they can achievetheir university goals.

The Union of Brunel Students is here to ensure that every Brunel student has the opportunity toenjoy, challenge, influence and benefit from all aspects of their studies andthe wider student experience. The Union is a charity that is led by studentsfor students and you automatically become a member when you enrol at Brunel.They’re committed to voicing student opinions and enable debates on key issues,they organise events and entertainment, as well as facilitating clubs andsocieties. The Union is there to give students advice and support throughoutthe student journey. The Union’s Advice Service provides free and confidentialadvice on everything from money and debt to housing and academic issues. Theyalso host lots of evening entertainment with the ever-popular karaoke and Loco’sQuiz. There are more than 130 sports clubs and societies that students canjoin, from the Arts and Crafts Society, to a range of cultural societies andsubject-specific groups, where you can socialise with other students. Oursports clubs are free to use for all students, once they join TeamBrunel.

Just ashort walk away from campus, the town of Uxbridge offers everything you need toshop and socialise. It’s also the perfect base to explore the surrounding thelocal countryside. Close to Brunel, there are plenty of parks and gardens aswell as the nearby Grand Union Canal which is perfect for a stroll.
