IPB University (aka Bogor Agricultural University)

IPB University has 5 main campuses, spread in several locations with special purposes for each campus:

• IPB Dramaga Campus
  Main campus of IPB University, used as the rectorate office and center for teaching and learning activities for Undergraduate, Master’s, Doctoral, and Professional Programs

• IPB Baranangsiang Campus
  Located in Bogor City, it is used as a center for research activities and community empowerment, as well as for Executive Postgraduate Education
  
• IPB Gunung Gede Campus
  The center of management and business education activities soon to be equipped with a techno-park

• IPB Cilebende Campus
  The center of diploma education and learning activities

• IPB Taman Kencana Campus
  Our innovation and commercial research center (Science Park)

IPB has 385 laboratories and 12 experimental stations spread across Dramaga (33 ha), Sukamantri (39.13 ha), Sindangbarang (937 ha), Pasir Kuda (1.86 ha), Tajur (20.42 ha), Babakan (937 ha).10.51 Ha), Jonggol – Bogor Regency (268.74 Ha), Pasir Sarongge-Cianjur (7.13 Ha), Mount Walat (350 Ha) and Pelabuhan Ratu – Sukabumi (5.23 Ha), Ancol – Jakarta (0.2 Ha), Tinjil Island – Pandeglang (600 Ha).

To provide complete and up-to-date information for students, IPB has a categorized library within the Top 5 of its kind in Indonesia, equipped with a complete electronic collection. Students are provided with facilities including computers, fiber optic network systems and hot spots to access internet in multiple campus locations. An integrated service center is also provided for students’ administration affairs both online and offline.

To support student welfare on campus, dormitories are provided for first-year students with a capacity of 4,000 people. For students in the third semester and above, dormitories are provided with a capacity of up to 500 people. Facilities within and surrounding the campus area include banks and ATMs, post offices, clinics, praying facilities, campus buses and campus bike tracks. As for supporting the development of student talent and interest, facilities in IPB Dramaga campus includes the Gymnasium (Indoor and Outdoor), Student Activity Center, Sports Building, Academic Plaza, and Horse Riding-Track.

Student life

• Art

IPB University is actively participating in preserving the art and culture of Indonesia. The university has a Student Activity Unit (UKM) for students who share common interests in art.

• Sports

"Mens Sana in Corpore Sano", in a healthy body there is a strong soul. In addition to the availability of various sports facilities managed by the Sports and Arts Unit, sports activities among students also thrive with the presence of several Student Activity Units (UKM) in the sports field.

• Student Community

Being involved in campus organizations builds the spirit of leadership and professionalism among students. Students can develop their potential through various campus organizations including the Student Executive Board (BEM), Student Representative Council (DPM), Student Activity Unit (UKM), Student Association (Himpro), and Communities.

• Field of study

College life is closely related to field practice in accordance with the scientific field that is being pursued. Practical classes are intended as a mean of achieving deeper understanding so students can get an easier grasp on the real-life implementations of their studies.

• Dormitory

IPB university requires first-year students to live in campus dormitories. This regulation is in place due to the multiple backgrounds of IPB University students. With broad ethnical and cultural diversity, IPB University is an inclusive institution with the goal of nurturing students of diverse origins to come together in unity. Our dormitory policy brings together this cultural diversity and encourages the intermingling of students from various backgrounds.
