Skylab - DTU Skylab is the innovation hub located at Lyngby campus at Technical University of Denmark. Skylab focuses on enabling student innovation and entrepreneurship through three focus areas; student innovation, company collaboration and academia. All DTU students and affiliated students are welcomed, and Skylab opens its doors to all levels of student innovation, from smaller student projects and case-solving for courses to student start-ups and world-changing ideas.

Career Centre - The Career Centre focuses on helping students accelerate their career, whether it be finding a student job or assisting in CV and job application writing. Throughout the semester, the Career Centre arranges events that create bridges between students and the business sector, such as Career Weeks, Student Job Bazars, and Diversity Days.

DTU Library - The university library houses over one million scientific articles and e-books, with individual study spaces as well as private study rooms for group work. The libraries at both the Lyngby and Ballerup campuses are accessible 24/7 with an active student card.

The university bookstore - The university bookstore is where students buy their course books, stationery and more. The bookstore offers a 10 percent discount on all purchases for students.

Student life

The university’s main campus is based in Lyngby in the northern suburbs of the country’s capital, Copenhagen – a location which boasts great natural beauty and is surrounded by wooded areas, sports fields, inner courtyards, as well as tranquil gardens.

12,899 students at the bachelor's and master's levels study at DTU. In addition, 1,453 PhD students are currently enrolled. DTU's campus has a truly distinctive international atmosphere: around 44% of the university's MSc students are international, and the university hosts exchange students from roughly 120 partner universities around the world. DTU emphasizes the possibility to go abroad at all levels of education, e.g. as exchange students or by studying a Joing International MSc programme .

The campus is a 25-minute bus ride away from Copenhagen, allowing students the opportunity to enjoy the cultural and historical sights of the vibrant European capital. With low crime rates, an efficient and free health care system, and bike lanes as a natural part of the infrastructure, Denmark presents a safe environment for students. Combined with the cultural emphasis on work-life balance, Denmark is considered as one of the happiest countries in the world.

When it comes to student accommodation at DTU, there are a number of options available : halls of residence, shared student housing, as well as private accommodation where you can rent a room in a normal family residence. International students at the BSc and MSc levels are offered guidance by the International Accommodation Office (Boligfonden DTU) either on- or off-campus. Employability & Career

Career Services

There is a worldwide demand for talented engineers, and graduates of DTU tend to find employment quickly after graduation. In fact, 42 percent of students secure a job before graduating, whilst 85 percent find employment within the first six months after graduating.

The Career Centre at the university offers careers advice and support for students, including CV-drop in sessions, conferences, workshops and case-competitions in close collaboration with industry partners. In this way, students can gain an in-depth understanding of the Danish labour market and world culture prior to graduation. The Career Centre also assists students who are looking for student jobs while studying at DTU.
