University Information

Admission

International students seeking admission to UdeM must meet both academic and immigration requirements. To enter an undergraduate program, they must hold a secondary school diploma and have successfully completed at least one year of university-level studies. Alternatively, they may enroll in UdeM'spreparatory year, the first year of a four-year bachelor's program. Proficiency in French is mandatory, demonstrated through an accepted language test or diploma as indicated in program descriptions. For more detailed guidelines on international baccalaureate requirements, refer to theUdeM IB Requirements. Some programs, such as professional doctorates, may have additional requirements.Applicants must hold a recognized undergraduate degree for admission to a master’s program or a master’s degree for admission to a doctoral program. Proficiency in French is required for most programs. Certain programs may have specific prerequisites, such as professional experience, a research proposal or letters of recommendation. Detailed information is provided oninternational equivalencies for graduate and postdoctoral studies.There are also country-specific admission requirements for international students.
